Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturer and packager of a variety of consumer products. They are seeking an experienced process engineer with a demonstrated track record in process development and optimization in a manufacturing environment. This is a direct hire position so the candidate that is chosen will be placed directly with the client.
Core responsibilities
- Design and development: Create and implement new processes, design and test equipment, and develop new techniques to improve production lines.
- Process optimization: Analyze and interpret data to find ways to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Problem-solving: Identify and resolve complex technical and process-related issues to ensure smooth operations.
- Documentation: Author, review, and maintain technical documentation, including safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and management, to coordinate and implement improvements.
- Performance monitoring: Monitor equipment performance, conduct regular tests, and interpret data to assess and improve operational efficiency.
Typical duties
- Conducting process simulations and optimization studies
- Implementing new process designs and testing them
- Creating and updating process models and documentation
- Identifying and solving production problems
- Developing best practices and innovative solutions
- Analyzing production data to identify areas for improvement in throughput, capacity and labor optimization
- Training others on new processes and procedures
- Working with the Plant Manager and ownership to develop plans for new product scaleup, process optimization and improved quality management systems.
- Having experience with quality management systems implementation and improvements is a plus. Experience in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment is a huge plus.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required
