Truck Dispatcher
Job Description
Our client is searching for a detail-oriented dispatcher to join their team! This is a temp to hire opportunity with a pay raise and benefits offered upon permanent hire.
Duties:
- Communicating with customers to record their requirements as well as scheduling the trucks to meet their needs
- Communicating with customers about freight delivery and/or pick up times
- Keeping track of transportation regulations and laws to ensure that trucks and drivers comply
- Logging customer shipping schedules and any complaints
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in dispatching over the road trucks
- Ability to work under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Express
- Experience with Transportation Management Software is a plus
